Book a visit
Send me the details and I'll come back to you with a time. The visit is $98, and it comes off your bill if you go ahead with the work.
Emergency?
778-901-9695Call rather than fill in the form. Emergency line is open 24/7.
alex@bluesealplumber.caIncluding your general location, the issue itself, and any symptoms, sounds, smells, when it started, what makes it worse this helps me book you in faster and turn up with the right parts on the truck.
How it works
Four steps, no surprises in any of them. Open each one to see exactly what happens and what it costs.
Call me or send the form. I'll confirm a day and a time window with you directly. If what you're describing sounds like it shouldn't wait, I'll tell you that on the phone.
A flat $98 covers me getting to you, finding the actual cause rather than the obvious symptom, and explaining what's going on in plain language. No hourly meter running while I work it out.
Before any repair work starts, you get the full price in writing, parts, labour, all of it. Ask me as many questions about it as you want. That part is free.
Accept the quote and the $98 diagnostic fee comes straight off the total, so the visit effectively costs you nothing. Don't want to go ahead? Completely fine. You've paid $98 for a proper diagnosis and a written quote you're free to take to any other plumber. I won't chase you and I won't pressure you.

Where I work
I've been plumbing in this corner of British Columbia since 2001. Harrop and Procter are across the free ferry and I run over there regularly being on the far side of the water doesn't change the $98 visit fee.
A lot of properties out here run on wells and septic rather than municipal services, and plenty of the housing stock is old enough to have surprises behind the wall. 10 years of local work means I've usually seen your surprise before.

Common questions
Anything not covered here, call 778-901-9695 and ask. I'd rather answer it now than have it come up mid-job.
A flat $98 for the visit and the diagnosis anywhere in my service area. That's the whole call out cost, there's no separate travel fee or minimum hourly charge on top of it.
No. The written quote is included in the $98 diagnostic visit. If you accept the quote, that $98 is deducted from your final bill.
Then you don't. You keep the diagnosis and the written quote, and you're welcome to take both to another plumber for comparison. There's no pressure, no follow-up sales calls, and nothing further owing beyond the $98.
Yes. For genuine emergencies; burst pipes, active leaks, sewage backups, no water in freezing weather, call 778-901-9695 any time, day or night. Call rather than email if water is moving right now.
Parts I supply and labour I perform, for 2 years from the date of the work. It doesn't cover parts you supplied yourself or damage from something unrelated to my repair. The complete terms and conditions are on the warranty page linked in the footer.
Yes. Septic tanks, pumps, alarms and line problems, plus well pumps, pressure tanks and water treatment. A lot of properties around Harrop, Procter, Balfour and Kaslo run on wells and septic, so it's routine work for me.
